Website update

Check out the latest updates of our website:

  • The Course Calendar, which has a new home in the ‘IASI Courses’ tab, and is now being much more promptly updated when new courses are  arranged or changes made. There’s also a handy link to download a pdf version

  • The News page, which replaces the old ‘Blog’ page, and brings together all of IASI’s communications in one place. You’ll find all the most recent newsletters, member communications and issues of Inside Edge – all now easily searchable

  • We are also planning a new Jobs page, where job ads can be posted. If you have a snowsports job you’d like to advertise, please contact Blue directly to discuss

Snowboard Educator Team

We would like to give a shout-out to IASI’s snowboard educator team, which has undergone a huge transformation during the past year or so. It now consists of six educators – five new educators have joined Tom Pilling, and we’d like to formally welcome Phil Mills, James Sinclair, Cameron Luke Wilson, Jels Pittevils and Lucas Vanlouwe to the team.

Board update

Members' Charter

You will all have received a notification that the new IASI Members’ Charter has been published and is now in force for all members. If you haven’t already, please take the time to read it here.

ISIA snowboard recognition

The Board is delighted to announce that after a lengthy process, ISIA has formally recognised IASI’s L3 and L4 snowboard qualifications at the ISIA Stamp level. Further work remains to enable L4 Snowboard to be recognised at the ISIA Card level, but discussions are ongoing. If you hold a L3 or L4 Snowboard qualification with IASI and need any assistance with your ISIA recognition, please contact Sinéad directly.

Complaints committee

The board is discussing the idea of setting up a sub-committee to deal with complaints made to the board in a more independent, timely and effective way. If you would be interested in sitting on this committee, please contact Ianto express your interest.

Would you like to contribute to IASI's future development?

The IASI Board would like to get back to full strength and  are looking for the right candidates. In particular, we are seeking someone to take on the role of LCP Liaison. This person would ideally have commercial experience beyond  snowsports, including dealing with contracts and HR. If you think you’ve got something to contribute, please contact Blue or any member of the board to discuss.

If you’re not keen on a board position, but have a skill and would be keen to contribute as a volunteer, please let us know too!
