IASI Equivalence & Conversion

Statement from IASI regarding current issues with working within the EU

NOVEMBER 2020

The IASI level 4 qualification is listed in the annex of the recently completed delegated act regarding the recognition of ski instructors in the EU. This means that instructors who hold this qualification, along with citizenship of an EU nation will benefit from the mutual recognition of qualifications across the EU. Instructors will still need to register and follow the required process as directed by each EU nation (this may differ from state to state). Their qualification however is secure and recognised.

IASI members holding the level 4 qualification WHO ARE NOT citizens of an EU nation will benefit from having their qualification recognised. However their working rights will be subject to work permits / visas as required by the EU nation they wish to work in. This may differ from nation to nation. In short qualification recognised but working rights need to be gained.
